Normalisation when energies are sampled from energy spectrum

Dear Fluka users

I am running the simulations using the alpha-neutron source, therefore energies were sampled from energy spectrum. I have got the activity of the source (in Bq).

I am scoring ambient dose equivalent, so the problem arises when I have to normalise the results because I feel like normalisation now is different from the one used in the case of simulations using the built-in radioactive sources.

Any assistance regarding this please.

You have rather to multiply by the neutron flux (i.e. production rate) of your source. Typically, as expressed in neutrons/s, it’s a factor of few ten thousand lower than the source activity in Bq.
