Recovery of FLUKA calculation

Dear FLUKA experts,

I had one server crashed during FLUKA running, so is it possible to recovery the halted FLUKA calculation due to system crash down or unexpected computer shut off?

Dear Xiao,

unfortunately, it is not possible to continue crashed runs, because FLUKA doesn’t store intermediate results to disk.

However, if you use multiple cycles in a run, it is possible to continue from the last completed cycle.

I guess in order to continue from the last completed cycle, need to click the Refresh or the Start button in Flair?

Dear Xiao,

to start from a specific cycle using Flair, you need to set the previous (Prev:) cycle number on the Run tab’s ribbon menu.

See slide 24 of the following lecture:

If you are running using the command line, you can use the -N option to set the previous cycle.
