I’m new to the FLUKA, i just installed it on my laptop with gfortran10.2.0 with pkg fluka-4-1.1.Linux-gfor9.tgz, the installation step is directly go to src directory and run ‘make’. I successfully got executable ‘fluka’ and ‘flukadpm’ under bin directory. But i’m not able to run the example example.inp, i didn’t install Flair, the command i ran was:
“…/bin/fluka -M 5 example.inp”
under example directory, i got error:
" STOP NO INPUT FILE
STOP STOP: FLUKA ABORTED"
could you please tell me which step went wrong or something is still missing. thanks in advance!
to run FLUKA from the command line you shouldn’t use the fluka executable directly, but the rfluka script.
<pathtofluka>/bin/rfluka -M 5 example.inp
where <pathtofluka> is the directory you have FLUKA installed.
Also if you didn’t do so already, you should add the directory of the FLUKA executables/scripts to your PATH environment variable in your .bashrc file:
export PATH=$PATH:<pathtofluka>/bin
with this you will be able call rfluka directly from any directory (You may have to close and reopen your terminal to take effect):
