Can not determine if FLUKA is installed successfully

Hi dear colleagues,

I followed the instructions in “Installing FLUKA/Flair on Windows 10 using WSL” and got stuck at step 2.2. I could not find the path to FLUKA directory using ls command. In addition, according to the flair’s pop-up window, FLUKA is not installed.

The terminal has the following lines which could help you guys locate the problem.

root@DESKTOP-M0BBCNO:/mnt/c/Users/XX/Downloads# dpkg -i fluka-2011-3.0.Linux-gfor7_amd64.deb
(Reading database … 53042 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack fluka-2011-3.0.Linux-gfor7_amd64.deb …
Unpacking fluka (2011-3.0) over (2011-3.0) …
Setting up fluka (2011-3.0) …
root@DESKTOP-M0BBCNO:~#

Thank you in advance.

Martin

Dear Martin,

please, make sure that you add the directory of FLUKA (/usr/local/fluka/bin by default) to your $PATH and restart the Ubuntu terminal.

Cheers,
David

Thank you so much for your help. It works now. I have never used Linux before and still learning.
