Clarification on EMFCUT Card Usage for Maxwellian Spectrum

Dear Expert,
I have a question regarding low-energy particle production in FLUKA. I understand that when using an energy beam with particles below 33 keV, it is necessary to activate the EMF and EMFCUT cards.

However, in my case, I am generating a Maxwellian spectrum with a temperature of 30 keV, using a custom source routine. Since this spectrum inherently includes particles with energies below 33 keV, do I still need to explicitly activate the EMFCUT card?

Dear Shubham,

Yes, you still need the EMF-CUT cards in this case.
If your source particle has an energy less then the transport theshold, it will be stopped.
