DOSE-EQ with DCYSCORE giving zero result

Dear experts,

In this input, without DCYSCORE, the DOSE-EQ values are generated in the output, but while using DCYSCORE associated with different cooling time, the output is zero. It will be helpful if you can kindly guide. Same can be observed for RESNUCLE output.

Dear @riya,

Have a look at slide 23 of the activation lecture from the last fluka course and note 6 and 7 of the DCYSCORE card manual.

Thank you @amario , I understood my mistake.

Can you please explain the differnce between RESNUCLE output 1. without DCYSCORE and 2. With DCYSCORE with cooling time t =0?

t=0 means, at the end of irradiation period and also the output is multiplied by the p/s value.
When no DCYSCORE is attached to RESNUCLE, then what is the irradiation parameter involved?

In both cases, does the unit of output same ?

Regards,

Riya

There is a substantial difference and the result unit is not the same.
Without DCYSCORE, there is no irradiation parameter involved at all, one gets the nuclide production yields, namely number of nuclides per primary beam particle, produced during the prompt irradiation stage, with no reference to time.
With DCYSCORE, one gets the nuclide activity in Bq at a given cooling time, as a function of the input irradiation profile.

Thank you @ceruttif for the clarification.

Please note that this does not apply if radioactive decay is requested in semi-analogue mode: no cooling time shall be input in this case and RESNUCLEi, coupled to a DCYSCORE card that asks to include daughter nuclides, will still give production yields. See the linked discussion.
