Dear FLUKA experts, I am trying to calculate the energy deposition of a neutron travelling through a liquid Lithium target. How do I define the material so the nuclear properties are considered for the liquid phase? Is there any other considerations I should include regarding physics and scoring to best track the energy deposition throughout the target? Not sure whether to use regional or cartesian scoring and whether it’s necessary to divide target in different sections.
Hello @alcuemo
Here are the steps you have to follow
- add the
MATERIAL
card with the appropriate density - associate an
LOW-PWXS
card with the temperature - verify that the transport threshold (e.m. and hadronic) are suitable. This depends on the target size
- add the scoring: this depends on what you are interested: total energy (scoring by region) or distribution (cartesian scoring).
