thank you once again. It turns out it’s just Ubuntu in my setup. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the continuous support and kindness from this community. Thanks!

I’m adding a couple of reminders/hints in case someone experiences similar issues.

  1. The command wsl --set-version <distribution name> 1 has to be exectuted from inside Windows Powershell (I guess in adminstrator mode; I didn’t try as a simple user), not in Ubuntu.
  2. Going back to WSL1, remember that an X-server such as Xming needs to be launched before running flair.
