Dear Users,
We are pleased to share news of an upcoming training opportunity for the FLUKA user community. On this occasion, the whole FLUKA team would also like to wish you for 2026 fresh ideas, successful projects, and plenty of satisfying simulations.
As part of our ongoing effort to support the users of the code, in 2025 we organised a Beginner Course in Geel and an Advanced Course in Barcelona. Building on this programme, we are happy to announce that the FLUKA.CERN Collaboration will hold a new Beginner Course, hosted by ELI Beamlines in Prague, Czech Republic.
FLUKA Beginner Course
ELI Beamlines, Prague, Czech Republic
18โ22 May 2026
The course is designed to provide a solid introduction to FLUKA, covering the fundamental concepts needed to start building, running, and analysing simulations. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical experience directly applicable to their research activities.
Registration is now open via the course Indico page (2026 FLUKA.CERN Beginners' Course - Prague (18-22 May 2026): Overview ยท Indico), where detailed practical information is available. The registration fee is 450 EUR (1550 EUR for commercial users). Participation is open to FLUKA users who have successfully downloaded the code from the FLUKA website (Download latest FLUKA release | The official CERN FLUKA website), with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For any questions or clarifications, please contact us at fluka.course@cern.ch.
We look forward to welcoming you in Prague.
Kind regards,
The FLUKA team at CERN and collaborating institutes
