We are pleased to share news of an upcoming training opportunity for the FLUKA user community. After the Beginner Course that took place in Prague mid May, the FLUKA.CERN Collaboration will hold in cooperation with DESY its second
FLUKA topical course on radiation protection
at DESY, Hamburg, Germany
on 14–16 September 2026
This topical course is intended for advanced users of the code that work in that field, and are looking to learn more about shielding design, activation calculation, as well as to bring their feedback to the development team.
Registration is now open via the course Indico page (2026 topical course on radiation protection - DESY (14-16 September 2026): Overview · Indico), where detailed practical information is available. The registration fee is 400 CHF (1000 CHF for commercial users). As this is a course for advanced users, acceptance of registration is conditional on advanced knowledge of the software and is not granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
