Hi,
I would like to create a cylinder that has two different semi-ellipses as bases or even two different ellipses if simpler. How can I do?
Thanks in advance

Dear Andrea,
you can specify the surface of an elliptic cone using the generic quadratic surface QUA, and use two planes to specify the bases.
Cheers,
David
I’m not sure I understand. Do the elliptical cones serve to delimit the lateral surface of the cylinder and the planes its bases?
Hi Andrea,
yes, exactly.
Cheers,
David
Can you recommend a way to easily obtain the quadratic equation of the cone?
Ok thank you very much, I succeeded.
