Hello,
I recently had the idea to create a custom source routine that would allow one to read in a tab_lis output of residual nuclides from a separate FLUKA run to create a source for a new analog run that incorporates all of the residual nuclides.
Applications might be that you could do one simulation of a large beamline, and then use residual nuclide files to do simulations on the transportation and storage of activated components without having to do one isotope at a time.
Originally after checking the forum, it seemed like this feature did not exist in an automated form, so I thought it might be something new I could contribute to the community with. But, after reading some of the documentation of the SPECSOUR card, I’m wondering if the USRBIN source can do this? Or is that mostly for cartesian scorings of particles, e.g., beampart, neutron, etc?
I am eager to keep working on this idea, but I realize I may be re-inventing the wheel, and wanted to ask the experts in advance if that’s what I’m doing.
Thanks for your time and help,
Will
