Particles tracked in Fluka simulations

Versions

FLUKA:4.5.1
Flair:

Description

Does Fluka allow the user to kill certain particles as they are generated? A neutron beam interacting with a target will produce scattered neutrons, and gamma’s . The gammas could then produce Compton scattered electrons. Are all these particles tracked by default ? Can we kill one or more of these particles as soon as they are created instead of tracking them ? Also, does Fluka track changes in irradiated material composition ?

Very similar questions have repeatedly been asked on the forum. You can easily find them with a search. Additionally, this topic is also discussed in the Advanced course whose material you can find on the FLUKA web page.
