Plutonium material not working

Hi David,

When MATERIAL is IRON, it works. But when I changed the MATERIAL to Pu-239 (density=19.84, Z=94, A=239), the error occured. I don’t know the reason.

I check the file “pu_01.out”, find that “Error: No ranpu_01002 generated!” and “Error: No pu_01001.err generated!”

Dear Zhao,

more likely, the LOW-MAT card for Pu-239 is missing.

If FLUKA can’t associate a low neutron cross section with your material (using the name of the material), then you need to add the LOW-MAT card, and select the appropriate cross section.
