Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Radiation Physics for Machine Protection, specifically within the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) project. The successful candidate will contribute to advanced radiation transport studies using FLUKA, supporting the design and optimization of shielding, collimation, and machine protection systems for this next-generation accelerator.
The position is part of BNL’s growing effort to ensure radiation robustness of critical components within the EIC, including electronics, magnets, and instrumentation, under various operational scenarios.
