Questions about DISCARD cards

Dear FLUKA experts,
I am using a DISCARD card. I irradiate a U-235 target with 1ev neutrons. According to the theory, fission of neutrons should occur, which would produce a large number of residual nuclei, such as Mo-99. However, when I use the DISCARD card to discard the PROTON, no fission occurs. The result is shown in Figure 1.Why is this? This is fission caused by neutrons, but dropping the protons causes no fission to occur.
Thank you very much for your help and answer! Looking forward to your reply. Wish you the best of luck in everything.

Dear Lin,
from my understanding of the problem, activation process simulation is terminated as, DISCARD card disables not only transport of protons but also production. The evaporation and coalescence are potential source of protons, and it gets disabled.
I propose, that you will terminate only proton TRANSPORT, using PART-THRES card at some reasonable for your simulation energy. In this case protons will be produced, but will not make any further interactions as, they will not be transported.

Technically this solution will work, but I am not sure that it will help you to solve your scientifc problem.

Kind regards,
Illia
