Scoring with USRBIN using region type

Dear FLUKA experts,
I want to calculate the average dose (neutron and photon) in specific organs (regions) in my phantom. So I don’t know how I choose the score card and set up the corresponding value in the card. Especially, when I scoring with USRBIN using region type, I want to know how to set the Step1 value.

Dear Xiaoman,

the Step1 parameter is step increment between the R1form and R1to regions. It is similar to other cards (e.g ASSIGNMA) Step parameter.

For example, let’s say we want to score between region ONE (R1form) and region FIVE (R1to).

  1. If Step1 is empty, it defaults to 1. This means between ONE and FIVE we will step one by one, thus scoring in region ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR and FIVE.

  2. If Step1 is set to 2, FLUKA only scores in region ONE, THREE and FIVE.

  3. If Step1 is set to 3, the scoring will be region ONE and FOUR.
