Hy everyone!
I make a file for copper (target) activation in fluka but I didn’t get the desired results as I am looking for the figure 3 in the related paper. I have to use it for 24 hours for irradiation and after that 24 hours for cooling period. My questions are…
look at my file is it ok?
how I ran it for irradiation time?
what cards I have to use when I am looking for cooling period? In the same cooling period I have to use irradiation card too or not ??
I strongly suggest you take a look at the following lecture, which will address most of your questions.
You may also find it beneficial to review other lectures, such as Materials, Scoring I, and Scoring II. Below is the link to the most recent beginners’ course.
There are several errors in your input file that will become clear once you’ve gone through the lectures. To highlight a few: the Am field in some materials, extremely large decay cooling times and an irradiation profile that is not the 24 hours you mentioned. Additionally, note that you can now omit the PHYSICS cards with “PEATHRES” and “IONSPLIT,” as they are obsolete. I would also recommend using the PRECISIO defaults and to leave empty the volume and area fields of your scorings (and normalize afterwards your results if needed).
Feel free to reach out once you’ve had the opportunity to review the lectures—they will be very beneficial for understanding how to achieve your goals.
