Stopped in usrbin: insufficient space for allocation in blank common

Greetings,

I am attempting to build a system with a radioactive source and small detector both enclosed in a box. I would like to trace photon emissions from the source, find dose rates at the small detector, and find residual nuclei in the detector and surrounding area (for future examples with a more radioactive sources, i.e. alphas). I looked through the manual and past courses to build the basis, but receive the error

******* Stopped in usrbin: insufficient space for allocation in blank common *******
******* ******** I*4 memory position available when ******** needed *******

I am sure my file is missing material, but I am not sure what. Also, I would greatly appreciate any pointers to make this example more robust and physically sound. Thank you kindly for your time.

Cheers,
Rick

Hi @rick,

this error only means, that FLUKA couldn’t allocate enough memory for the USRBIN scorings. You only need to decrease the number of bins.
