FLUKA: 4-5.1 Flair: 3.4-5.2 Operating system: linux ubuntu
Dear FLUKA experts,
I am currently simulating a 160 MeV beam on a bismuth target using RQMD (via the ldpmqmd option in Flair’s Compile tab). After selecting my compiled .exe file in the “Exe” field and pressing the “Run” button, I encounter a “Timed-out” error. What could be the possible cause of this issue?
You are using an extremely high biasing factor on the LAM-BIAS card. After reducing it to a more reasonable one, the simulation runs.
Furthermore, an additional comment: the LOW-MAT cards are ignored because they are for the group-wise neutron transport, but FLUKA uses the point-wise transport with the PRECISIO defaults. This means the LOW-PWXS card is also not needed.
(One more thing for the LOW-MAT card in general: only the last one per material will be considered, as it overwrites the previous ones.)
