Description
Dear experts,
I have Timed out status returned to all spawn (sp=100, np= 4.E7) I ran the same kind of input file on another computer (under windows 50 sp) with out any problems and running the same input file for tests on the same computer with sp=10, np=1E5 is fine.
Usually I can have some timed out status resolved with Attach. Attaching all runs doesn”t work.
When looking inside the .err files, i have things like : PWNINE Problem with in axestr, Trackr common is full …
Please upload all relevant files. (FLUKA input file, Flair project file, user routines, and data files)
I use a source_newgen.f file and myFlair.exe. Thanks for your help abd comments !
After making some tests the “timed out” error is link to the way the computer id handling the results
writing, especially if tne number os spawns is high (100 here).
On the same computer, No “timed out” error appears if I do sp=50 (cpu number) , nc = 50 (cycle number) and np = 1.E6 (primary) instead of a large number of primary as np=4E7 and nc=5 less cycles.
My apologies for the late follow-up and thanks for re-iterating on the issues here. Unfortunately for the computer/operating system side of your issues I lack the expertise to comment. Do you still encounter the PWNINE and trackr common error messages? As I can gather from other forum posts which highlight the same error message that you encountered, these are rare cases of floating point precision errors and unlucky random sampling.
