Abstract
The neutron induced event-by-event energy deposition distribution in the Timepix3 Radiation Monitor and a silicon diode detector is investigated using an AmBe source, to evaluate the performance of the detectors within the R2E activities at CERN. The measured energy deposition spectra are compared with Monte Carlo simulations performed with the FLUKA 4.3 release and the G4SEE application, both using a point-wise treatment of neutron induced reactions.
