Too many terms in parenthesis expansion

Dear fluka experts,
When I set up a MLCs, and I run the inp fileMLCs.flair (5.5 KB) MLCs.inp (6.7 KB) , an error happened:
*** Region VOID too many terms in parenthesis expansion ***
*** Execution terminated ***

How do I solve this problem? Can someone help me decrease the parenthesis expansion? Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Xiaoman Li

Hi Xiaoman,

the easiest solution in your case is, that you only subtract the mlc body from the VOID region, and create a new region to fill the gap with air.

This way you won’t need to use brackets at all.

(It is the best to always avoid the usage of brackets. It is better to use infinite bodies, and create separate regions / zones, for the air/vacuum around your objects.)

Cheers,
David

Dear David,
It is still confusing for me. Would you like spending your time helping me solve it? Or give me a more detail solution. It is indeed difficult to me. Many thanks to you!

Hi Xiaoman,

I attached the fixed geometry. I added a new region MCL_HOLE, where I filled the hole with air.

MLCs_fixed.flair (5.4 KB)

There was an error with the EMFCUT as well, the parameter Fudgem requires the value 1.0 (in your case) to run.

Cheers,
David

Dear David,
