Hi,

Is it possible to obtain the total number of nuclear reactions or the total yield of specific nuclides of interest in FLUKA?

For example, when using the RESNUCLEi card, can I directly access the total production of radioisotopes generated in a given region, or does the output only provide information related to their activity?

I would like to know whether FLUKA can report the absolute number of produced radionuclides, in addition to the activity values.

Thank you for your question.

The RESNUCLEi card will give you results in #nuclei / primary, or if mass of the region is provided in the card: #nuclei / g / primary.

The combination of RESNUCLEi with RADDECAY, DCYSCORE, DCYTIMES and IRRPROFI can give you the activity in [Bq] of the residual nuclei.
