USRBIN plot of 3D in FLAIR

Dear
some times the colored 2D plot is confusing, so , is it possible to make 3D plot in FLAIR? many thanks .
regards
Iyad

Hi Iyad,

I assume that you mean that you want to plot the USRBIN in the 3D geometry as a projection as shown in the picture below, correct?

You can have a look at the manual of the 3D render functionality in FLAIR (FARM) which shows you how to do this.

Creating 3D images (with USRBIN plots superimposed)

However, if however you are referring to creating 3D plots of the USRBIN itself (e.g. like a semi-transparent cloud) then this is not possible because this kind of special volumetric rendering is only available in FLAIR for Voxel geometries.

Dear Chris
thank you for the useful answer. I meant 3D plot (spectrum) such as
image
but I understand that it doesn’t possible in FLAIR directly.
best regards
Iyad

Hi Iyad,

such 3D plots are very difficult to generalize because it really depends on the problem you want to illustrate and there might be different ways that work best depending on the quantities you are interested in. What you could do is to recuperate the data from flair and then use gnuplot to plot it the way you prefer.

Cheers
Chris
