Run Fluka with multiple cores

I want to know how to run a FLUKA file using command-line multi-core processing without using Flair, could anyone tell me what the command is?

Dear @tianyukun ,

The way to run FLUKA in a parallel way (which in itself is a single-thread software so it does not support parallel processing) will depend on the system on which you are running, which operating system, are you running on a CPU cluster, … . I advise you to use the search bar if you can find information in addition to a number of posts on this forum which deal with this topic:

  • on optimizing memory or running on a cluster
  • Launching parallel FLUKA simulations without using Flair, each run with different name or in a separate folder, and with different random number. The post-processing will then also require a script or can happen in Flair.

Hopefully this can set you on the right path,

Andreas
