Running time estimation

Dear experts,

I am trying to score photon fluence to calculate attenuation with NaI detector for a glass system. However I cannot monitor running time left for the calculation. It is not making any progress as in %. I increased the energy up to 1 MeV but didn’t work.

I’d be appreciated with the help

Dear mgulmen,

please have a look at

Dear experts

I edit my input file to take into account absorption process in the detector. But runtime progress is still infinite. Previously, I didn’t have that problem when I was using different target material in the same geometry.

Hello

I tried this input and again it didn’t work.

Dear @mgulmen,

I have found two major mistakes in your input.

First of all, you’re creating a recursive behaviour via naming a compound as one of its components, leading to unexpected freezing of simulation. Below corrected cards:

MATERIAL 2.32 31 SiO2
COMPOUND 2.0 OXYGEN 1.0 SILICON SiO2

Then you don’t specify what fraction of deposited energy WHAT(2) is used to create optical photons

OPT-PROD 4.15E-05 2.5E-07 NaI SCINT-WV

which leads to a crash.

Please double-check 7.22.54. OPT-PROD — FLUKA Manual for more details
